I was looking for a company that was working with Distech controls. Once I started talking to Harris personnel, I found that Harris’ values of taking care of the customer, were in line with my core values. The leadership team also believes in these values which make it easy for me to stay with the Harris team.
What do you enjoy about working at Harris (what about the company itself made you want to work here)?
With the current business model of a nationwide “One Harris” but the opportunity to be a “local partner” to the customer, allows for hands on work and collaboration with customers. Being a customer centric person, drives me to work with our customers, for what is in their best interest.

What are your main responsibilities and initiatives that you lead?
My main responsibility is overseeing the operations for our Blackfoot and Boise, Idaho offices; from managing projects, conducting audits for service, and understanding our financials. What drew you to this industry?
My wife drew me to this industry as all of the men in her family were in this industry. Given my computer background made a great match for being in automation and building services.
What do you wish the public knew about Harris?
Tough question, as I was unaware of Harris until I looked for control contractor in Idaho supporting Distech. In new markets the Harris name needs to be broadcasted more. In existing markets, it would be how Harris can be a one stop shop for HVAC, Controls and Security.
What inspires you? What motivates you?
Seeing my kids succeed as they move into adulthood motivates me to continue mentoring and supporting young adults.
