Fort Meade Building 8607 Renovation
This project for the US Army Corp of Engineers consisted of design and construction of an existing barracks building. The building was converted into administrative space for a designated end user. The design and construction included demolition of all existing engineering systems. Demolition of the existing architectural systems included the roof, exterior doors, and windows. This project also included design and construction of completely new engineering systems to include site work, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, communication, and structural ATFP and progressive collapse. The interior space includes specific requirements for the designated end user, conference rooms, break rooms, private offices, open office for workstations, and engineering support spaces to accommodate approximately 250 personnel.
Harris installed a complete HVAC and plumbing system including all new piping. The HVAC consisted of 88 FCUs, a remote air-cooled chiller, Hi-Eff boilers, pump packages with VFDs, a DOAS unit and 6 DX Crac units. Harris also installed Honeywell Controls.
