Lawrence Livermore Laboratory Buildings B223
Harris teamed up with Hensel Phelps for the plumbing a mechanical scope of the AME Polymers Lab (core and shell) and the AME Office building on the 2200 block of the laboratory. These two buildings were part of the first Applied Materials Engineering (AME) area plan put together by LLNL and NNSA to support stockpile stewardship.
Polymers lab consisted of a 13,000-square-foot, single story building with a complete mechanical and plumbing system with integrated controls. The AME Office consisted of a fully functional 23,000-square-foot, single story building with a complete mechanical and plumbing system and the integrated controls.
Although the project was affected by COVID 19, Harris and Hensel Phelps teamed together to ensure minimal impact to the project due to the pandemic. Both buildings were completely functional and turned over as coordinated with the owner.
