East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital

HealthSouth East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital is a new, 40-bed acute medical rehabilitation hospital totaling 47,500 square feet.

Harris provided complete plumbing and mechanical systems for the new hospital including medical gas piping, oxygen and vacuum systems. The project included the first installation of Trane’s water-cooled variable air volume (VAV) air handling systems; complete with an internal-cooling tower to provide maximum efficiency to the system. Harris also installed a complete medium and low-pressure ductwork distribution system including VAV boxes and direct digital controls. The kitchen construction consisted of makeup air units and grease exhaust systems.

With so many different parts of the project to complete, Harris relied on good pre-planning and communication between the trades to complete the hospital project on-time and within budget.
