St. Olaf College Tomson Hall
Tomson Hall was built over the top of the old science building after Regents Hall, a new science building, was constructed. The existing building was almost demolished, leaving only the foundation and columns.
Harris worked with The Boldt Company and Muska Electric to complete this design-build project on-time and under the original budget. Harris designed and installed a complete mechanical system, including plumbing, heating and cooling for this four-story building.
Six air handling units provide heating and cooling to the building. To enhance the comfort of the occupants, Harris installed 270 variable air volume units to provide individual heating and cooling control for each office and classroom space.
