Bielenberg Sports Center Field House
Harris installed KMC Controls in the Bielenberg Sports Center Field House to control the TRAK heat pump system. We installed 170 temperature sensors throughout the field house and the outdoor pleasure rink to control the TRAK system and the building temperature. Nine of the sensors are in the manmade pond by the heat exchangers and in the piping to dissipate the heat in the summer. This keeps the water loop cool, this technique will help make the TRAK heat pump system run more efficiently. Also, Harris installed water solar panels on the south side of the building, controlling the system when the sun is producing hot water in the winter. Harris will use the hot water to make the heat pump run more efficiently.
We also tied the original TRAK system, which makes ice for the two ice rinks into the new main-made pond to help remove heat from the ice rink system.
