Birdseye Foods Ammonia System Upgrades

In spring of 2018, Harris installed a new ammonia compressor, intercooler, and new piping and accessories at the Birdseye Plant in Waseca, MN. As part of this project, Harris demolished and removed several existing system components and installed a new compressor and intercooler as stated above. In addition, there were several pieces of equipment that had to be relocated within the plant in order for the new equipment to be installed. Harris worked closely with the owner, engineer, and equipment rigging company to ensure all equipment got installed, piped up, and tested on time in order to accommodate the owner’s cooling needs related to their food processing demand.
