Harris Debuts New “Five Dysfunctions of a Team” Video Case Study

(ST. PAUL, Minn., May 3, 2024) The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable, by Patrick Lencioni, provides a framework for leaders of all types to analyze, inspire and reshape a work group into a high-performance team. Harris, a leading national mechanical contractor, has taken its dedication to team building to the next level by investing in this training for leaders across the organization, and seeing to it that they have certified facilitators in their Human Capital department.

This month, Harris released a video case study highlighting the incredible success Project Executive Randy Wainwright had implementing the 5DOT process with his team as they tackled an incredibly complex (and highly confidential) megaproject. The video features insight from Randy and his entire team as they discuss how the Five Dysfunctions of a Team helped them overcome issues with trust, communication and conflict so that they could go on and become top performers on the project.

In the end, not only was this work successful for the team on site (their collective goal was to cement Harris’ reputation as a trusted partner of choice), they were recognized repeatedly within Harris as an organization for their exemplary work, zero recordables record and incredible prefabrication success.

For leaders outside Harris who are curious about the Five Dysfunctions of a Team, the book is available in both hardcover and paperback at numerous online retailers, including Amazon.com.
