Harris’ Ilona Johnson Receives 40 Under 40 Award

(ST. PAUL, Minn.) – Consulting-Specifying Engineer today announced that Ilona Johnson, PE, CEM, LEED AP, associate director, Harris has received the magazine’s 2022 40 Under 40 award.

According to the magazine’s news release, the award is given annually to 40 nonresidential building industry professionals ages 40 and younger who stand out in a mixture of personal and professional aspects of their lives.    Read Johnson’s award profile here.

They’re smart, innovative, dedicated and driven.”

Consulting-Specifying Engineer states that candidates were nominated by a colleague or mentor and judged by industry experts based on nine areas, including their commitment to academics, their profession, personal lives and in their community. In its May online and print edition, Consulting- Specifying Engineer honors each of the young professionals, highlighting qualities that led him/her to continuous success, recent professional projects and personal achievements. Winners will be presented with their award at a ceremony in Chicago in October 2022.

As an Associate Director, Johnson plays a vital role in the Harris Design Studio, Harris’ in-house design and engineering services business unit. The Studio recently opened an additional location in the Rosslyn district of Arlington, Virginia to meet the growing demand for its design-build services. Johnson manages the team locally in this location and runs large complex projects nationwide.
