U of M Physics and Nanotechnology Building

The University of Minnesota Physics and Nanotechnology Building houses 200 faculty, post-doctorate and graduate students, and visiting researchers. Harris was awarded the mechanical contract for this state-of-the-art facility and provided the HVAC, plumbing, piping, controls and fire protection. Sheraton Woodbury Hotel

Harris provided design-build services to JE Dunn Construction to build a new five-story hotel in Woodbury, Minnesota. This 150-room hotel serves corporate clients and business travelers in the eastern suburbs including 3M, Anderson Windows and HealthEast. Hotel amenities included a full-service kitchen, restaurant, bar, exercise room, indoor pool, and meeting and event space. Novus Pacific Plant

Harris helped Novus Energy LLC design and build a mobile demonstration plant. The demonstration plant is a trailer-mounted, waste-to-energy conversion system which is fully integrated with its own automated control system. The system is a completely functional plant capable of converting high-solid organic materials to methane-rich bio-gas, organic fertilizer and clean water. Bethel University Physician Assistant Space

The Physician Assistant Program at Bethel University provides training to students seeking jobs to fill an important and growing new role within clinics and hospital systems. Bethel University was on a fast-track to create a learning space for their new program, which involved an upgrade an existing office space to a state-of-the-art hands-on lab and classroom that would include patient simulators. Xcel Prairie Island Administration Building

Xcel Energy needed a new administration building near the site of its Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant. The building was designed to house more than 300 employees and save Xcel money on energy costs. Harris completed the HVAC, plumbing, piping and temperature controls for the new building. Children’s Hospital Addition

In August 2008, Harris began a 275,000-square foot addition to the existing Minneapolis Children’s Hospital consisting of an eight-story vertical expansion, a new central plant and front entry along with extensive renovations. Harris provided complete design-build engineering and installation of all mechanical, plumbing, medical gases and temperature control systems for this project.
