Lake Stevens High School was a multi-phased modernization of the existing facility on a 35.6-acre site. The project was a mix of additions, modernization and replacements. The school remained occupied and operational throughout all phases of construction and was surrounded by single-family residential neighborhoods. The Issaquah Middle School project is a progressive design-build project. Harris’ design partner for the project was Hargis. Harris performed the complete plumbing, including domestic, DWV, acid waste, hot water plant and fixture trim. We also performed the complete HVAC, including the boiler, water to water HP, chiller and all air handling equipment. Harris’ subcontractors included HVAC controls, insulation and test and balance.

McKeown Community Center is the community center for Flynntown — the lower campus of Saint John’s University (SJU) — and is designed to the LEED Silver standard. To reduce energy usage efficient lighting, HVAC and plumbing systems were installed. Harris designed and installed controls systems that monitor energy usage in real time. Data is used by SJU physical plant workers and environmental studies students to adjust performance.

The Hill Museum & Manuscript Library, located on the architecturally distinguished Saint John’s University campus, houses the world’s largest collection of images of manuscripts from the Middle East, Europe and Ethiopia, and a collection of prints ranging from the 15th century to the present. At the peak, we had 40 people working on-site, in addition to those fabricating in the shop.
