Harris worked to improve the quality of the University of Utah Marriott Library’s occupant comfort by providing a retrofit of variable air volume (VAV) air handling systems and controls including piping modifications to relocate water pipes from above the Rare Books Vault. To avoid disrupting students and faculty, Harris made special arrangements to work during fall break when the library had fewer users. Sections of the library were isolated to keep the occupants safe and reduce disturbances.

Harris was awarded a contract to provide HVAC controls on new construction for the prestigious S.J. Quinney College of Law Building at the University of Utah.
As part of its services, Harris installed new controls including six-way control valves on chilled beams, heating/cooling water controls and air handling units. The controls included a 375,000-gallon thermal storage tank, that allows the use of chillers during off peak hours.

The University of Minnesota’s Amundson Hall Lab Addition is a 42,000-square foot chemistry lab addition known as the Gore Annex. Remodel involved complete plumbing, HVAC, controls and fire protection services.

Tomson Hall was built over the top of the old science building after Regents Hall, a new science building, was constructed. The existing building was almost demolished, leaving only the foundation and columns.
