Xcel 414 Critical Infrastructure Upgrades

Harris worked as the mechanical contractor on the Xcel 414 Critical Infrastructure Upgrades project. The work consisted of replacing existing pipe, duct and equipment to upgrade the existing HVAC systems. The building’s activities had to be maintained during construction. Harris provided temporary systems to allow normal work to continue while permanent systems were demoed and reinstalled. IAD85 Data Center ERUD Infill

Harris was hired as the mechanical contractor for the IAD85 Data Center ERUD Infill project being built by JE Richards Electric for a confidential cloud storage provider with campus’s across northern Virginia. This project was plan and spec to fit out two differed electric rooms and install sixteen differed AHU’s. The project was the largest ERUD infill project that had ever been attempted by the owner and was Harris’ first job on one of their campuses. Read More

Epic Data Center

The new data center, previously owned by a private client, is currently owned by Epic. Epic is a privately held healthcare software company. The data center is a 62,000 square foot two-story building that was designed to support the client’s campuses in Rochester, Scottsdale and Jacksonville. DC2 Power Upgrade

A confidential client retrofitted additional space in their existing data center to house more servers. With the increase in capacity came the need to upgrade the mechanical systems responsible for keeping the data center cool. Harris was contracted to install the data center’s new backup generator and associated HVAC and piping. DataBank’s Granite Point SLC2 data center is strategically located in Bluffdale, UT, minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. With a carrier-neutral design, the facility offers network connectivity to multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 providers. The facility has access to more than 8MW of high-density power, and redundant cooling systems maintain optimal temperatures for data center equipment. AAA – Clearfield

The AAA data center in Clearfield, Utah manages all help-needed calls coming in from west of the Mississippi. They are a 24/7 operation. AAA had cooling and humidification needs in their data storage areas. They also needed redundancy in their systems to allow for maintenance. Topaz Ebay Data Center Phase I

Project Topaz is a 250,000-square-foot, two-level, Tier IV mission critical data center located in South Jordan, Utah. The center is comprised of multiple active-power and cooling distribution paths, has 2N redundant mechanical systems and is fault tolerant. There is a small administration office totaling approximately 30,000 square feet. The remainder of the facility consists of a data center, electrical support areas, and mechanical rooms. Harris was awarded the mechanical and plumbing scopes for the Level 4 and 5 WeWork office space at the Gateway 6 in Salt Lake City, Utah. VA Lafayette Building

The Lafayette Building Veterans Administration Tenant Improvement project was a GSA modernization of an approximately 281,000 gross square-foot warm-lit shell. The modernization required an interior fit-out to meet the needs of the veterans. The administration space fit-out included office spaces, core conference spaces, a training room, computer rooms, audio/visual studios and storage spaces.
